This post is for me, so that if someday i ever get back to scrapbooking, i can find all their info on this blog..whew...
The kids had their 2 year and 2 month checkups today!
Noah: 30 lbs, 36 1/2 inches tall, 19 1/4 head. He is in the 95th percentile like he's always been for height, 75th percentile for weight and head. He is doing great except for his speech. Because of his lack of speech development and a family history of speech impediments, we need to take him to see a speech pathologist. He received one shot in the arm with little crying!
We've been having a lot of sleep issues lately. This is Noah after he got up at 4 am. (He didn't go to bed til almost midnight!!!) yep... the baby sleeps longer than he does. apparently i've been told by the dr. and several parents that this tends to happen at his age. yay...
Ruby: 11 lbs 11 oz, 23 1/2 inches long, 14 3/4 head. She is 95th percentile for height, 50th percentile for weight and head. He said she is going to be a tall girl! She is doing well also. She is a little behind in her eye movements and focusing, but he said that was okay. Her reflux has improved some and she will still take that super yummy medicine a little while longer. She received two shots in one leg, one shot in the other leg, and one drinky shot. She did NOT like them at all. She gave the words 'drama queen' the true meaning today. Noah always cried a second then was fine; she screamed and was still crying and catching her breath a few minutes later. I'm starting to rethink the ear piercing...

more bailey
"Hey cuz...give me a high five!" Wow, Ruby isn't that much heavier!
Ready to Ride!
Going home...
This was the afternoon after Bailey was born...we were all a little tired from being at the hospital all night!
Colin gave Noah a drink in a medicine cup. He was being careful not to spill it!

Bailey Nicholas has arrived!
Here he is! My new nephew, Bailey Nicholas, born July 24, 2008, 7lbs 10 oz, 21 inches at 6:04 am. It was a long, tough 17 hours, but Lindsay did great and both are doing wonderfully!
mommy and baby
first grin :)
aww...
this was at midnight...yep, that's my ruby in the rocking chair and my noah watching a movie still awake. lindsay asked for them to be there and it really encouraged her when noah walked in. and no, he didn't go to sleep til almost 130, but that was okay because....
...at about 10 he fell 3 feet head first onto the pavement, getting 3 goose egg lumps on his head and one large lump on his arm. conveniently we were already at the hospital so we got an ice pack and kept him awake. the pic is blurry because he won't let anyone near it (duh), but it's above his ear, by his temple, and at the top of his forehead. well, something had to make the night lively! :)

A Very Special Visit
This is my Great Aunt Ruby and Uncle Danny. Since they live only a 1/2 hour away from where the reunion is, we made a special stop by their home to introduce Aunt Ruby to her namesake. She was scooped out of my arms as soon as we arrived! :) Aunt Ruby turned 80 in April and is doing quite well after a big surgery the end of April. She is still having some complications and could still use prayers!

Baby Ruby and her Great Great Aunt Ruby
Baby Ruby is named after Aunt Ruby, and her sister (my dad's mom) Anna. I would have loved for my mamaw and dad to meet Baby Ruby.
Aunt Ruby didn't like the headband on her, worried it was giving her a headache. Baby Ruby doesn't like them either. :)
Admiration
Uncle Danny and his magic baby belly! He used to put all of us to sleep on that belly when we were babies! :)
It didn't take long for her to relax and go right to sleep
"Look Ma, no hands!"
Uncle Danny wanted a picture of him with his two Ruby's. I LOVE this picture!
As much as I despise my pic being taken, I can't pass up a picture with my Aunt Ruby!

King Family Reunion 08
Every July, we spend a Sunday in southeastern Kentucky to celebrate the King family. This is Bryan's dad, Robert (on the left) and his brother and sisters. (I think a few were missing, but I'm not sure which ones).
