Nashville 2009

We went back to Nashville for Spring Break this year to spend time with my BFF Faith. There are ZERO pics of the city itself, since we did all our site seeing the first year we went, so this year we spent almost the whole time just hanging out with her family. We had a great time and we were able to meet the new baby, Kaden, who is 7 months old whom Ruby just fell in love with. Noah made a new best friend in Corbin and also enjoyed playing with Teagan and Weston. We had some great friend time ourselves and are looking forward to visiting with them again!

Kaden, 7 Months

Teagan, 5 years

Corbin, 3 years old

Weston, 8 years

We went to Centennial Park downtown, and Noah got to see this train engine up close. He was in AWE! and he refused to touch it, saying it was too special. :) It was a great surprise since he's so entranced with trains, planes and firetrucks.
this was as close as he'd get...

think he liked it?

Great Aunt Ruby's 81st Birthday!

We decided to cut our Nashville trip a day short and drive to Eastern Kentucky to visit my Great Aunt Ruby on her 81st birthday (April 18th). She was very surprised to see us and enjoyed seeing baby Ruby for the first time since last summer. Baby Ruby took to her immediately and enjoyed sitting with her, playing with her and talking with her. She also loved cuddling with Uncle Danny. Noah was also very social (which is surprising) and immediately took to Uncle Danny. As a neat surprise, he got out his 4-wheeler for Noah. Noah's face lit up and he was actually speechless as he stared at this huge REAL 4-wheeler. He got to sit and play on it, then as a special treat Uncle Danny took him for a ride. (Mom, you didn't read that part). :) He also showed Noah some of the tricks his dog can do. We were able to spend the night with them and stay for a little extra time which was wonderful. Baby Ruby continued to be giggly and loving and Noah was very well behaved. So neat to have some great pictures of my kids with their Great Great Aunt and Uncle!
