Easter Egg Hunting

It was a beautiful sunny day to hunt eggs, so Mamaw Wilma hid them in the front yard and we turned Noah loose. He started after the eggs before we told him what to do! Bryan would tell him to 'go get it', so he would run to each egg yelling 'get it! get it!'. He has his coat on in the last few pics because he wanted to KEEP hunting, so Bryan rehid them a few times!

I think the pictures say it all! We had a fun time this year dying eggs and watching Noah be fascinated with all the colors.

Skating Away!

Wednesday night was Bryan's skate fundraiser for school that he's been working on for so long! He had an incredible turnout! We took Noah and wasn't sure if he would skate, but after the first few minutes of watching others all he would say was 'shoes?' 'shoes?'... so they had some adjustable skates for him and he wore them the entire 2 1/2 hours! when we were on the carpet he didn't want to hold my hand, but i made him when we were on the skate floor. He and I went around the rink over a dozen times! (which takes forever with a little one!) do you know how hard it was to get pictures of him? i was afraid to take more than a few steps away from him in case he fell!

I love the picture of Bryan with him because he was so busy all night keeping all the school stuff in order that he only had time to take noah around the rink one time towards the end...and it was the only time noah fell... :) now we know what to put on his birthday list this summer!

Happy 29th Birthday!

Tuesday was Bryan's 29th birthday! He wanted to go to Plank's for his birthday and we had a good time! I took many pics, but only a few came out, which is why the first one is so dark. We enjoyed just being together as a family for the entire evening! Happy Birthday Sweetie!

a pictureless post

This post doesn't have a picture with it for a specific reason. I wanted to put this in here for our family to remember as Noah grows. I've mentioned before that he has a crazy addiction with the dog food/water dishes and no type of discipline seems to change his mind. He has gotten better however and instead of 2-3 times per HOUR we're down to 2-3 times per week.

But today was something new...

He's been very good the past few days, not playing in the water or food, and when I've seen him standing there staring at it (contemplating I'm sure), I've praised him for not putting his hands in it... apparently I should have added his mouth as well!

Today I caught him leaning over the water dish, lapping the water like a dog!! AAHHH! This wasn't the moment for me to stop and grab my camera and continue letting him lick from the dog's water! Instead I grabbed him, took him to the sink and washed his mouth (tongue, teeth, face) with lots of warm water!! EWWWW!!

And of course he couldn't brush his teeth since we had to throw his toothbrush away yesterday after he decided to help me clean the toilet with it...yep. Needless to say, I walked him to the corner after this incident this morning and bought him a new toothbrush.

I love having a toddler...you never know what the day will bring! :)

while in michigan it was a little hectic with so many people and trying to get everything ready so we ordered pizza to let everyone eat as they went. well, we happened to see a certain little boy up in the pizza boxes with a fork, eating away happily while he thought no one was watching! when he did see me taking pictures he turned around with a BIG grin and said CHEESE! how can you not love that?

my mom had a small baby shower for us in michigan last weekend and we enjoyed seeing family and friends and getting a lot of adorable pink clothes! here are just a few pics because my camera is still giving me problems and is being shipped back to the manufacturer next week to see what's up. it was crazy to be surrounded by all pink...what am i going to do with a little girl??
