Ruby's First Quilt Show

A friend and I went to the annual quilt show downtown and took little Ruby along. I think she was more popular than all the quilts! :) The pictures are blurry because the good camera was dead so I had to take the blurry one...

Ruby at her first quilt show in front of a pretty pink/white quilt.

i took this one for noah because it goes with his jungle theme in his room.


i really liked this 'monster' quilt and would love to make one for noah. The words around the edge talk about the monsters under the bed that need fed every night and they like to eat cookies so the kid has to have cookies in his room each night. :)

i wish i would've gotten a better pic of this one. it's an 'ohio' quilt and has different blocks representing the 88 counties as well as other 'ohio' based novelties.

3 weeks

yeah, i got a little carried away taking pics... she's only 3 weeks once!

3 weeks ~at the park

we spent the evening at the park and i wanted to get her pics outside but it was a little chilly. i did get a few though.


i love the water...

this is her starting to stick her bottom lip out to say she is not happy... it gets daddy every time.

we took ruby to get her picture taken at ten days to keep the 'traditional' picture that we want for our kids. the top picture is all we went for, but the photographer got a little camera happy and took a ton. we thought it was funny all the faces our ten day old daughter made for the camera. these are just a few...

good dog

noah loves sitting in his rocker in the evening to watch his show and every night we find molly at his feet. When he's calm and resting she snuggles up with him. She doesn't like when he's being a boy, but she's never far when their outside playing. She's my sweet protector dog.

Father's Day 2008

After waiting and waiting, her umbilical cord finally fell off so she could try out the bathtub. She did not like the getting in or getting out part, but she loved being in the water. Noah liked 'helping', even though he got a bit carried away pouring water over her. :)

I was trying to find a place to set little Ruby while she's awake but she didn't have anything to sit in. We tried out brother's chair, but she didn't like it one bit.

Thank you Miss Lisa and baby Madelyn for letting us borrow your bouncy seat. She loves this one!

Growing up!

After a while of having his toddler bed in a box, daddy was finally able to take down the crib and put the new big boy bed together. We weren't sure how it was going to go over with him, but the first picture is of him taking his nap in it right after Bryan finished it. He sleeps in it at night just as easily and wakes up very proud of himself! We are thankful for this easy transition!


his real bed stuff was still in the dryer... he didn't mind.

He loves his animals!

He's even learning how to make his own bed every morning! Mommy loves that! :)

I looked down and was surprised to see our first 'baby' actually snuggled against our newest baby. Dakota has been our 'baby' for almost 9 years and had a very hard time adjusting to Noah. He's had no problem with Ruby from the day we brought her home, but this was the first time he'd gotten this close to her. Later on he even put his head up on her leg. It was nice to have him accept her so easily. :)

we were thankful to find out that after a week of continued weight loss, she has had several days of weight gain, putting her back in the 'normal' range! she's also grown 2 inches in 2 weeks! she's getting too big too fast! :)

First Sunday at Church

Here is Ruby all dressed up for her first Sunday at church. Yes, she's barefoot... I'm still trying to figure the sock/shoes/booties thing out...
