new-to-me camera

my wonderful sister-in-law bobbi jo sent me her old camera to borrow for a few weeks since it takes good indoor shots and mine doesn't! we didn't want to be stuck without a camera when ruby gets here (and i don't plan on having her outside!). so i played around with it this morning to see how it works. it's nice to have a camera that's reliable! sorry the last pic is sideways...

Little Red Wigglers

While daddy was off of school today, we went down to darby park to the worm class they had for preschoolers. after learning about worms and composting, bubby was able to make his very own worm compost. he loved the dirt, but wasn't too sure about the squirmy worms. he carried his worm compost around the rest of the time like a trophy. now it's sitting on the kitchen counter where we're supposed to keep giving them scraps and water every few days. then what do i do with it? well, we do love to go fishing...

super warm day

barefoot no more

last year we couldn't get the boy to wear shoes no matter what ~ and i got tired of picking splinters out of his feet (which never even bothered him!)! he took his shoes off for the first time this weekend and did not like it! after giving it a try, he handed his shoes back to my mom so she could put them back on. finally, he won't be the crazy barefoot kid at the park!

noah FREDDIE christopher

There's a reason we named noah after my dad...we hoped he'd be something like him. I was reminded of my dad a lot the other day as i got noah's 4-wheeler out for the first time and of course, the battery was dead. well, noah was very impatient (dad)waiting for it to charge, so i gave up and let him ride. he got all the way to the back of the yard when it died. so he got off, pushed it into the shade and began inspecting it. my dad could fix anything and loved working on cars. so i smiled as i watched noah manipulate every single part of his ride, including the battery and cables (which even I have a hard time getting to!). after he exhausted all of the parts, he finally decided to push it back to the porch to be recharged. my dad would've loved teaching him how to fix things. i'm glad noah is like him in many ways!

have you seen the commercial of the little boy dragging around his blankie while the charlie brown music is playing? i cracked up when i looked out and saw the same thing in the back yard! somehow he sneaked out his blankies (and bear) and dragged them around!

snack time

did i ever mention he has an addiction to the dog food/water dishes?? i finally gave up and took a picture... and yes, he's chewing in the second one. (well, the whole time i was doing this). what can i say?

he was finally able to get his dumptruck outside to play! he loaded with sand, rocks...and who knows what else!

i caught him climbing a lot today on just about everything! no fear... ugh! and he actually POSED in the last picture! little booger

Finally!

finally pictures outside!! he is loving being in the backyard! he goes out right after breakfast, comes in for lunch, nap, dinner...other than that he's outside the whole time! the dogs have become his yard buddies and he loves playing in the sand. i, on the other hand, am trying to figure out who thought of sandboxes! my kitchen has become a beach with the four of them tracking it in and out. i think i'll lie down in it this afternoon and pretend i'm in south carolina since we didn't get to go. :)
