Bob Evans Farm

This is a VERY long picture post because I can't run slide anymore (it KILLS my computer). And when I mix my camera and a very busy day, I get many many pictures (I took 170 just today!!). We spent the day in SE Ohio on the Bob Evans Farm at their farm festival. It was packed with people, vendors, food, and fun! The weather was more summer than fall with the low 80's, but at least I got a little more of a tan to last the winter! :) We had a GREAT time and look forward to heading back down there next year!

I could not believe how BEAUTIFUL the trees were down there! I can't believe they've changed so much faster and prettier than here.

Noah watching the leather guy put his and Ruby's name on their leather bracelets.

Ruby's bracelet, complete with butterflies.

Linda was surprised to see someone making soap like she used to when she was little. The guy making it was surprised she had made soap this way!

Their big food seller is soup beans and cornbread. Here's 2 of the 4 massive pots of beans cooking.

Bees making honey.

A closer look at bees.

Touching an empty honeycomb.

This picture is for my mom. Horseshoes! :)

Tractor!

The potbellied pig was like a dog, very very friendly.

ew. enough said.

Can't get away without sitting on the tractor.

Here's her boots, Kim! But I put her in overalls instead of the jumper...and of course the boots kept coming off! :)

He LOVES horses!

Chicken Noodle Yummyness

Noah has recently fallen in love with chicken noodle soup but not until yesterday did he realize he could DRINK the soup by picking up the bowl. He started by leaning over and lapping it up like the dogs, then figured out he could just pick it up and drink it. He didn't know I was watching at first and that made it so much fun! (Except I was slightly nervous for all my sewing projects sitting on the table beside him).

randomness

Tiger (whom he calls Hige) on one side, Bear on the other...

who needs summer to enjoy a popsicle?

sleeping baby.. yes in the same boys sleeper on a different day. i LOVE it on her.

resting comfortably

first bath together. SO much easier and faster! (and nothing is showing)

she's given up on me and just feeding herself

and cleaning up afterwards! :)

mama's little man

Bryan kept teasing me about how I wrapped the towel around Noah way up under his arms like a girl (simply because the towel is too long otherwise), so now he wraps it around him like a 'man'. :)

sweetness

My week was crazy insane last week and almost every night ran late. One night I was swamped so Bryan said he would put both kids to bed that night, which I was very thankful for. Ruby was unusually fussy and wouldn't go to sleep so he cuddled her and fell asleep with her. I think he did a pretty good job. :) and yes, she's wearing a boy's sleeper.

ladies retreat 08

just a few pics from the retreat this weekend. :)

my absolute favorite picture from this weekend. not just because it's of two adorable babies, Ruby and Talia, but because it kinda went with the retreat. two little girls that i hope will get to grow up together, play together, come to know Christ, and encourage each other in the Word through their friendship.

This is George. George is one handsome boy isn't he??

Sarah, Natalie and Rachel at lunch. mmm

Harmony at the hotel. Classic cute 13 year old slumber party pose! :)

Shilo and Bernadette... hmm, yeah, you can ask them.

Ruby and David. :) their first boy/girl sleepover (and daddy said the last...) :)

David, Talia and Ruby taking a play break.

Ruby's Four Month Stats

Ruby's 4 Month Stats: (to put in her scrapbook...someday...)

weight~ 15 lbs 8 oz (90th percentile)
length ~ 26 inches (95th percentile)
head ~ 15 1/2 inches (25th percentile)

Yes, she has a little head, but they said that was fine because she's growing and developing normally in all other areas. She passed all her milestone questions (with a few extras) and the doctor was pleased with her eye improvements. She still has reflux and has to continue the medicine (we take her off one day a week to see if there's any improvement, but not so far). Shots went well, except she is bouncing hyper instead of tired this time (noah had the same reaction with his 4 month shots...). We're excited to see all she's going to learn this month!

at the pumpkin farm. i could not get her attention at all...

she loved being on the floor at aunt bobbi & uncle mike's (since she doesn't get to do that at home :( )
